Glamourbaby of the Week

This week’s Glamourbaby is a woman whose creativity is apparent in her inner glow. Krystal and I met in 2010, where she was gracious enough to lend me her incredible jewelry designs as I prepared for my job interview with Alicia Keys in London. (And for the record, Swizz did tell me that my Krystal Rae necklace was fresh- which means Krystal herself, is fresh!) A woman with innovative ideas, a creative passion, and a warm personality, I am happy to share her work with the world. Read on to learn more:

How do you define “glamour”? 
A glamourous girl is brave and loves to encounter the unknown. She’s ready for any adventure and prepared to take on risks. Her goal is to discover new things first. People find her exciting and fascinating yet mysterious. They are curious and attracted to her personality!

Glamour is being bold, confident, and daring!

What is your “WHY”? (Why do you do what you do?) 

I absolutely loooove it! 
The moment my father taught me how to color, I knew I wanted to be an artist. However, I didn’t know what medium to use. Later, my mother trained me how to sew and suddenly I recognized that fabric was my material to create my artwork! Fashion is how I can express myself because it’s the only art I know best. You know if you love to do something when you’re addicted to it. While I’m on a hunt for fabric & trims, sketching, drafting patterns, sewing, draping…just seeing my designs come to life…I experience a natural high!

Your Message to Young Women. 
From middle school through college, I was one of those girls…suicidal…in constant competition…gossiping about everybody to everyone…I was 24 hour drama…very un-glamourous. If this is you to some degree, beat those negative thoughts with a bat, run away from slanderous conversations and jump off that stage. 

Glamourous girls socialize and develop friendships. They stick together, inspire and support each other as much as possible. Speak highly of one another. Add value to each other’s lives. They collaborate and create beautiful projects. Make each other smile and laugh out loud!
